Cabinet clears ₹69,725 cr package to boost shipbuilding, maritime sector
The Union Cabinet has approved a ₹69,725 crore package to strengthen India’s shipbuilding and maritime sector. The decade-long initiative includes financing schemes, shipyard cluster development, and technical upgradation, aiming to generate 3 million jobs, build 2,500 vessels, expand capacity, and reinforce India’s strategic maritime and economic resilience.
