Automotive major Stellantis takes full control of India manufacturing JV

Stellantis has acquired CK Birla Group's remaining stake in their Tamil Nadu JV, taking full ownership of its Thiruvallur (Citroën) plant. The company plans to nearly triple output there, from about 18,000 units in 2026 to 50,000 by 2027, aided by upcoming FTAs, with workforce more than doubling from 610 employees.
