Ashok Leyland Adds Battery Pack Assembly Facility at SIPCOT Pillaipakkam

Ashok Leyland has proposed an additional industrial building housing a battery pack assembly unit at its existing facility in SIPCOT Industrial Park, Pillaipakkam, Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. The project, estimated at ₹476.79 crore, will add 53,815.72 sq m of built-up area within a 4,57,319 sq m site to support electric mobility manufacturing. It is at the conceptual stage and has entered the environmental clearance process.
