Ambuja Cements, UK-based Leilac plan low-carbon cement projects in Gujarat
Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Group, has partnered with UK-based Leilac Ltd to explore a low-carbon cement production project at its Sanghipuram plant in Gujarat. The initiative will evaluate carbon capture and hybrid electrification technologies to significantly cut emissions and reduce coal usage, potentially moving toward zero coal dependence. The collaboration is part of Ambuja’s broader decarbonisation roadmap aligned with its net-zero target for 2050.
