40 sites, Rs 104 crore, 20% cut: Delhi’s new pollution-control plan eyes private sector

The Delhi government is turning to private firms and startups for the first time to test new air-pollution technologies at 40 sites under a ₹104 crore pilot project. Each site, spanning 1 to 1.5 acres, must achieve a 20% cut in PM10 and PM2.5, and firms must maintain the reduction. Shortlisted open or semi-enclosed public spaces include Khan Market, Connaught Place and Defence Colony.
